Issue/Opportunity – The College faculty are clearly aware of the E-Text Project, but, not fully informed as to the capabilities of E-Text and details of every aspect of E-Text. Therefore, a series of introductory meetings or activities should be planned to insure that the faculty are fully aware and in support of this project.
Topic and Potential Actions – determine the best methodology to inform the faculty and keep them current as this project evolves and is implemented.
Necessity for formal RFP, RFI or Bid – Not necessary.
Implementation Timing and Critical Path – This issue is already begun being addressed and should be formally addressed throughout the project.
Status – Faculty participate on the E-text Committee. The E-Text topic has been presented at various faculty functions and less formally via some Departmental meetings. A few faculty are participating in the FIPSE grant and are “test driving” e-texts with their students (last Fall and Spring, and this Fall).
