My Daytona State

Assesment Information

All programs offered by the College of Education at Daytona State College are fully accredited by the Florida Department of Education. The FLDOE requires all institutions that offer teacher preparation programs to apply for approval from the State of Florida. Teacher preparation programs offered by DSC include initial teacher preparation (baccalaureate), education preparation institute (EPI), and non-certification courses.

The College of Education must submit an annual update to the FLDOE for program approval. All initial teacher preparation programs at DSC received continued program approval in 2010.

The COE evaluates its programs on a regular basis as part of a continuous improvement process. Continuing approval standards mandated by FLDOE require that all Colleges of Education report data relating to their programs' curriculum, teacher candidate performance, program completers, program evaluation, and decision-making processes on an annual basis. Data related to teacher preparation programs must be published annually and made available to the public and policy makers.

Information provided within this website:

FLDOE Reports: Annual program evaluations and FTCE reports are submitted annually to the FLDOE for undergraduate teacher preparation programs (baccalaureate) and Educator Preparation Institute (post-baccalaureate).
