Hollis WilderHollis Wilder

Hollis Wilder is founder and CEO of Sweet By Holly and the first two-time winner of the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. Known for her charisma and delicious treats, she was featured in the Cooking Channel’s pilot episode of Cupcake Confidential. Her first cookbook, Savory Bites, is coming in 2013 from Stewart, Tabori and Chang, an imprint of ABRAMS Books. As a chef in Hollywood, her client list read like an invitation to the Oscars with names such as Demi Moore, Tom Cruise, The Osmonds, Warren Beatty, The Rolling Stones and even Mikhail Gorbachev. Hollis’ speaking engagements focus on empowerment, success and personal growth while taking audiences on her journey through Hollywood, television, authoring a book and starting her business from the ground up.

Jean NewellJean Newell

Jean Newell is the founder of Newco Enterprises and a prime example of how to reinvent yourself in these challenging financial times. With no formal education in business, finance or distribution, this “boomerpreneur” started her manufacturing and marketing company specializing in her own inventions. Jean’s products, a line of wearable organizer bags called PUPs (Personal Utility Pouches), have been featured nearly 60 times on QVC, as well as in major department store chains, boutiques and gift catalogs. This May, she reached millions of viewers again on QVC with the debut of her newest invention, the GiZmobag. As a national speaker, consultant and author of Turn Your Pink Slip into a Red Hot Business, her advice inspires unemployed Americans searching for their next employment opportunity. (Jean will speak Thursday evening for the L. Gale Lemerand Entrepreneurial Series, as well)

Lillian ConradLillian Conrad

Lillian Conrad is the president of Conrad Consulting Corporation and a senior consultant with Oscher Consulting, P.A., located on the west coast. A considerable portion of her work during the past fifteen years has been related to the investigation of fraudulent activities and civil litigation of large Ponzi or Ponzi-type schemes ranging from $16 million to $450 million in losses. Her most significant current volunteer activities are through SCORE and directed toward assisting small businesses grow and achieve profitability.

Claire Evans Claire Evans

Claire Evans is the president and CEO of amaZulu, Inc.   Born in Zimbabwe, Ms. Evans was raised in South Africa and came to the U.S., fulfilling her aspirations to be resource responsible, while creating economic opportunities to reduce poverty domestically and internationally.  Under her leadership, amaZulu participated in two Extreme Makeover projects, an HGTV project, and Trading Spaces.  amaZulu was certified as a woman-owned operation in 2003. The company continues to grow global client relationships and partner with international growers and USA Manufacturers.   

Carol CraigCarol Craig

Carol Craig is the founder and CEO/CFO of Craig Technologies. In just over 12 years, she has crafted a company with a national presence and significant importance to America’s defense, security and space industries. This year, Craig Technologies revenues are expected to reach $32 million. She draws her hands-on unique management style from her background as a systems/software engineer, civil servant, support contractor and naval flight officer. Under her guidance CT has won numerous local and national recognitions. 

Maryam GhyabiMaryam Ghyabi

Maryam Ghyabi is the CEO/President of Ghyabi & Associates. She provides leadership and support to position the company at the forefront of the engineering Industry. She oversees the development of the strategic plan to advance the firm’s mission and objectives. Ms. Ghyabi also oversees several departments and is in charge of business development and public relations throughout the firm. She represents the company in the global engineering industry, as well as at legislative sessions and government functions. 

Ned HarperNed Harper

Ned Harper is the director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Daytona State College. SBDC provides training, counseling and financial assistance critical to business success. Assisted by grants from the Small Business Administration, the SBDC is able to provide these services at little or no cost to the client. He has served the Central Florida area for over 20 years, specializing in the medical business sector, both as a business owner and as a consultant.
