I wanted to give you an update on the programming interns that have been working with us at DME. Matthew Rittler just completed his internship, and Jennifer Egler will be with us for a few more months.
These have been our first interns in our programming area, and both have been outstanding. In fact, we offered Jennifer a part time position, but it didn’t fit her goals. I have been extremely satisfied in the work ethic, enthusiasm and aptitude of both Matt and Jennifer. From a DME standpoint, my Application Services team has now had their eyes opened to the value of the internship program, and that team now has a lot of project ideas for future interns.
I am appreciative and impressed with the quality of the intern program at Daytona State, and DME is excited about the value this program continues to provide us.
So, we are ready, able and willing to grow our intern pipeline for both programming and IT, and please keep us in mind for any candidates you have now and in the future.

The program has been a great source of bringing in new staff members to ISC. We have worked with many interns from the program and growing their skills, eventually hiring them as a full time employee. The program has benefited us in many ways; support and delivery of client technologies, security and application support.
Director, IT Operations and Engineering
Edward is doing a fantastic job here and everybody enjoys working with him. He is
a quick study and has been very helpful with contributing to a number of projects
we have going on. We’re shooting a maximum exposure to different aspects of our Sim
Maintenance Program during his internship here and we think we’re right on track with
that goal so far. He has a great attitude and certainly seems to enjoy his time here.
