The purpose of the Daytona State College Computing Commons is to support the mission and goals of the college's Library, "Learning Resource Center" (LRC), which are to "encourage, facilitate and sustain" learning in the Daytona State College's community. Use of the Daytona State College Computing Commons is a privilege, not a right. To maintain this privilege, users are responsible for following both the letter and the spirit of these policies.

Daytona State College provides a wide range of Information Technology tools and resources, including a completely equipped Computing Commons area in the Library. Intended as glassed Quiet Study Area and General Academic Support lab, this area is connected to the institution's network, institutional web sites, and allows access to external resources such as the Internet and also provides educational support via a wide variety of available software.

Dell NetBooks are also available for students to checkout for use in the Library.  The Netbooks will access the Internet through DSC's FalconAir Wireless and are loaded with latest Windows 7 and Office 2010 software.
