Sixth Annual Chili Cook Off 2013

ChiliThe Career Employee Association of Daytona State College hosted their Sixth Annual Chili Cook-off on Thursday, February  21, 2013. The cook-off began at 12:00pm and ran thru 2pm in Bergengren Hall (building 110 room 112). 

Contestants submitted their own recipe in a crock pot and brought it along on the day the event was hosted. This year the contest was open to all Daytona State faculty and employees. Judging was performed by representatives from each constituency group including:

Administrator:         Kevin McCrary

Faculty:                  Sarah Desormeaux

Professional:           Gina Stafford

Career:                   Mike Calpin

$1 allowed participants to try a sample any three of the chilis. An additional 2 dollars bought participants a bowl of their favorite. Through these and the sales of desserts we were able to raise money to help fund future events and support CEA student awards.

1st Place Spicy Chili- Charles Hilton - Campus Safety
