Building Analyst Professional Certification

Daytona State College has teamed up with Institute of Envelope Science to help you position yourself to be on the leading edge of the energy efficiency/green movement by being certified to provide Home Performance Testing.
Learn the fundamentals of how a residential building works as a system and how to use the latest building scienc technology to help solve heating, cooling and air leakage problems. This course will teach how to evaluate the energy performance, comfort and safety of a house through a comprehensive, whole-house diagnostic procedure.

5-Day NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge Preparation Course
Learn the basics of solar installation - solar technology, including PV, solar thermal and hot water. Learn about tax incentives, sales and marketing, getting into the solar electric business, products & systems review, key components, mounting hardware, grounding, site design and construction analysis, inspector guidelines, NABCEP study guide, safety, pre-engineering kits, hands-on install demonstration, prospects presentation, steps for success, and advantages.

This course is approved for continuing education credits by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for both the Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) and the Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB).
Solar Source Institute is a registered provider of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Certificate of Knowledge exam.
Students who take the 40 hour Introduction to Photovoltaic Systems course will be qualified to sit for the exam.
