College Catalog - Student Disability Services

The mission of Student Disability Services is to promote student success and arrange reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities. Our goal is to empower students and support full inclusion and access to college academic and career programs.

In order to receive services, a student must meet personally with a Student Disability Services (SDS) advisor and provide current written verification of his/her disability from a licensed physician, psychologist or mental health professional. The professional must have the credentials to render an appropriate diagnosis on an adult measurement scale. Students requesting accommodations for any Daytona State College placement exam are strongly encouraged to meet with an SDS advisor prior to scheduling the exam.
