Daytona State College counselors welcome you to the college and invite you to come in and meet with us. Counseling services include personal counseling, career counseling and academic counseling. In addition, workshops such as recognizing depression, managing stress, or reducing test anxiety are offered throughout the year and are available for groups by request. We are available for students on all Daytona State campuses.

Counselors can be helpful when life as a student seems overwhelming and you need someone who will listen and help you sort things out. Over time, difficulties that are not tended to can grow into serious problems of stress, anxiety, or depression. Some students may also struggle with relationship problems, low self-esteem, substance abuse, and/or eating disorders. Counselors are sensitive to challenges that can interfere with success in college. We want to work with you, advocate for you and help you find the right support to meet your needs and accomplish future goals.

Academic Counseling is available to help you when you have problems in your classes. Whether you have difficulty passing tests, problems making friends or getting along with different people at the college, we can work with you to find the right strategy to help you to grow in mastery of your academic life.

Career Counseling is offered to help you to make good decisions about your career choices. Counselors work with Career Advisors as part of your personal career team to help you fully develop your Career Plan. Counselors can utilize career assessments and provide individual counseling sessions to explore career-related issues with you.
