Office of Student Judicial Affairs

The Office of Student Judicial Affairs is responsible for investigating complaints and concerns regarding students who are accused of violating the college code of conduct rules. This office also is  responsible for attempting to resolve student discipline concerns and assisting to ensure that students are afforded due process in procedures involving student discipline matters.

The Judicial Affairs Office is located on the Daytona Beach Campus.  Student discipline hearings are held in the College Campus Safety Office, building 540. This office investigates student discipline issues and allegations of violations of the Daytona State Student Code of Conduct Rules published in the Student Handbook.

The Judicial Affairs Office attempts to gather the facts and considers available options for resolution or discipline actions.  The office helps to arrange Administrative Resolution Meetings or scheduling Judicial Hearings before a Student Disciplinary Committee in order to provide the student an opportunity to respond to the allegation or complaint in person. The College Judicial Affairs Officer or the Student Disciplinary Committee is authorized address the matter and determine an appropriate outcome.
