LuppinoNick Luppino

Head Coach

Nick enters his second season as a member of the Falcon Coaching staff and will be responsible for working with the infielders and will assist with the hitting.  In addition to his on-field duties for the Falcons, Nick will also head the local recruiting for Volusia and Flagler counties.  For the 2010 season, Nick has been named Head Coach of the Falcon Developmental Program and will continue to serve as director of the Falcon Baseball Camps. 

 

Coach Luppino joins the Falcons after spending one season as an assistant coach at Austin Peay State University, where he was responsible for working with the infielders, hitters, and coaching third base.  Prior to APSU, the Ft. Lauderdale native spent three years as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Palm Beach Community College.  While at PBCC he helped lead the Panthers to a birth in the 2007 state tournament.  

 

Nick, 26, has also been a head coach of two summer ball clubs, the Nashville Stingers of the Sandlott Collegiate Wood Bat League, Palm Beach Post 12.  Nick also served as camp director for his father, Richard, helping to run the United Sports Academy.  Luppino is single and currently resides in South Daytona.

 

 

Phil Enright

Assistant Coach/Pitching Coach-Developmental Program

 

EnrightPhil Enright, 23, enters his first season as a member of the Falcon Coaching Staff.  Coach Enright's primary duties will be in charge of the pitching staff for the Falcon Development Program.  Also with his responsibilities will be helping Coach Chris Reilly with the Falcon Pitching Staff.  He will also assist Coach Luppino with the local recruiting, and the Falcon Baseball Camps.

Enright, who resides in Daytona Beach, has been a Deltona resident for over 20 years.  He began his playing career at Pine Ridge High School, where he lettered for four years.  After high school he began his college career at Daytona State College, formerly Daytona Beach Community College, where he played under current Head Coach Tim Touma and won two conference championships and played in two Florida JUCO State Tournaments in his tenure at Daytona. Phil also was awarded the L. Gale Lemerand Athletic Leadership Award, Fireman of the Year, and Student Athlete of the Year Award in his sophomore year. He graduated from Daytona with his A.A. Degree and a 3.7 GPA. 

 

Enright then extended his playing career at Bethune-Cookman University.  At Cookman Phil pitched out of the bullpen for his two seasons with the Wildcats under Head Coach Mervyl Melendez, in his senior campaign he lead the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in saves and was selected as Second Team All-MEAC member.  Phil was part of three MEAC conference championships two as a player and one as an assistant coach.  He also has been a part of three NCAA Regional Appearances while at Bethune-Cookman.  Enright graduated in the spring of 2009 from Cookman with a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice.    

 

Enright joins the Falcon Baseball program after spending one season at Bethune-Cookman University.  While at Cookman, Coach Enright assisted with the pitching staff.  Along with helping with on field duties, also was in charge of the Wildcats equipment and uniform laundry.  He also helps to direct and instruct the youth and high school baseball camps.  Enright has spent the last two summer seasons as the pitching coach for Deland American Legion Post 6 “Sixers.”
