Special Credit (Degree-Holding) Students

You may take courses even if you do not intend to earn a college degree or certificate from Daytona State. For example, you may want to enroll in courses to upgrade your career skills or for personal enrichment. As a degree-holding student (bachelor's degree or higher, or a Florida awarded associate's of arts degree), you are not limited to 15 credit hours; however, you are also required to meet all of the same pre- and co-requisite standards for course enrollment as degree seeking students.

  1. Submit an application for admission, either online or download the printable version.
  2. Submit official, final college transcript from college/university the degree was awarded. College credits earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated (course by course), and translated if applicable, by a NACES approved company.
  3. Meet with an Academic Advisor if desired. Schedule an appointment by calling 386-506-3661.
  4. Register for classes, available online.
  5. Pay for classes, available online
  6. Purchase books for your classes.
  7. Obtain student ID and parking decal.
