Graduation from high school is required for all students entering an AA, AS or AAS program, college credit certificate and most vocational certificate programs. Proof of high school graduation may be accepted in the following ways:
Submit a final, official high school transcript. In order for high school transcripts to be considered official they must be sent directly from the issuing institution to Daytona State or hand delivered in a sealed envelope by the student from the institution. Electronic transcripts received through FASTER are also considered official. Faxes are not considered official.
A notarized affidavit submitted by the student's parent or legal guardian, in the case of a student who is home schooled, attesting that the student has completed a home education program pursuant to the requirements of s.232.0201 is required, as well as a copy of the high school transcript.
An official GED test report, with scores, if the applicant received a high school equivalency diploma.
If you are applying for a vocational certificate program that does not require a standard high school diploma or GED, an apprenticeship program, or any non-degree special credit major, the high school transcript is waived.
