Program Description
The purpose of this program is to prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed in criminal justice and rehabilitation fields. Students are prepared with entry level job skills to assist addiction specialists, substance abuse counselors and social practitioners. Credits earned in this certificate program may be applied toward the AS Degree in Human Services (Generalist and Addictions Specialization).
Note: Financial aid eligibility for this program is pending.

Additional Admission Requirements
-Program Prerequisites (courses must be completed with a grade of 'C' or better): ENC 1101 (College Composition I) and MAT 1033 (Intermediate Algebra).
-Attend mandatory program orientation.
-Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) background check must be completed prior to the first day of class. Final program acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory results of the FDLE screening. Some exceptions may apply depending on externship facility placement.
-CO-OP agencies may elect to do a more extensive background check in addition to the initial requirement.
