Course Title: Nursing Process II

Course Description:
This course introduces concepts related to the delivery of nursing care to childbearing families during the prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum periods. The concepts family assessment and reproductive will also be introduced. Emphasis will be placed on promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of the childbearing family. Concepts introduced in this course are prenatal, intrapartum and postpartum; care of newborn, family dynamics and reproductive. Upon completion of the course students will be able to apply these concepts to mothers, infants and families within the framework of the nursing process. Clinical experiences will be provided with the childbearing family in maternal and newborn settings. FA, SP
