Introduction to Diversity for Educators
The purpose of this course is to introduce the instructional needs of diverse classroom populations including cultural, racial, religious, ethnic, gender issues, learning styles, abilities and disabilities, as well as to prepare pre-service teachers to become culturally responsive teachers. This course requires 15 hours of field experience in the public schools with at least one ESE or ESOL student. This course will help satisfy the graduation requirements of the Associate of Arts (AA) degree. This course is offered during the FA, SP and SU terms.
