What I'm Working On: Dr. Flota's current research projects in include: the current global financial crisis; the rise and fall of financial liberalization in Sweden and South Korea; the global movement of neoliberalism as a political and economic project; current debates over Karl Polanyi's concept of "Embeddedness."
He is currently writing a new edition (with John E. Farley) of the textbook Sociology and is in the planning stages of another textbook on Economic Sociology.
He is also a screenwriter.
