Our multifaceted program offers advanced studies for a professional career in photography. Whether you are new to the medium or expanding your photographic skills, we foster our students' aesthetic, intellectual and personal development. With small class sizes, students and faculty get to know each other as artists and individuals while working to engage everyone's fullest potential. Be prepared for an atmosphere where there is lots of feedback, encouragement, and personalized education; where learning is a process in which both the faculty and students are actively engaged.
The college's Southeast Museum of Photography is a dynamic place with an international reputation for its exhibitions. It is one of fewer than 12 facilities in the United States dedicated exclusively to photography and is the only one in the southern United States. The Museum plays an integral role in our student's education through its exhibitions, lectures, workshops, gallery talks, photographic archive and library.
Successful completion of our A.S. Degree can lead to a seamless transfer to a B.S. Degree in Photography from the University of Central Florida. Faculty and students share facilities in the newly-renovated DSC Photography Building. Our unique program offers a comprehensive photographic education to empower graduates for life long success in a variety of photographic fields.
If you are seeking a smaller, more personal college atmosphere, then I invite you to visit our campus and discover for yourself the creative energy and spirit that fills the classrooms, labs and studios of the DSC Photography Department.
